Series of 4 watches with Poljot 2609.
The Officer 1965OF40 is an elegant hand-wound watch by Strela, housing the rare Poljot Vintage Movement 2609. This watch embodies classic watchmaking craftsmanship and timeless design.
The watch’s case is made of polished and brushed stainless steel, with a diameter of 40mm (43mm including the crown). It has a height of 11.8mm and a lug-to-lug width of 47mm. Featuring an anti-reflective mineral crystal and a lug width of 20mm, the Officer 1965OF40 is prepared to meet your daily needs with both style and substance.
A special feature of this watch is the Poljot 2609 movement, which has not been in production for many years. Strela acquired some of these vintage movements from original Poljot stock and subjected them to a thorough overhaul, cleaning, and re-oiling. The Poljot 2609 movement boasts 17 jewels, operates at 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour, and includes shock protection, central seconds, and an impressive power reserve of about 40 hours. It is considered one of the most important and reliable movements ever produced by the 1st Moscow Watch Factory (Poljot).
The dial of the Officer 1965OF40 is ribbed and inscribed in Cyrillic. It features silver hands and a blue second hand, providing an appealing contrast to the dial. The intricately decorated case back depicts the image of the extravehicular activity of Alexei Arkhipovich Leonov, the Soviet cosmonaut who was the first person to exit his spacecraft and float freely in space, tethered only by a rope – a historic moment in space exploration.
This watch is limited to 250 pieces and comes with a Strela textile strap and a Strela watch case.
