Our new STRELA SIGNAL SIG44LAG-IPB manual winding watch with alarm function – Poljot caliber 2612.1
The STRELA alarm watch has an IP-Black coated stainless steel watchcase with a diameter of 44mm (with crown 45mm and lug to lug width 50mm) and a height of 13mm. 22mm bandwidth. The massive watchcase is designed after some famous soviet Poljot alarm watches from the 80’s.
This Strela has a latin lettered black grey dial with silver indexes, silver hands with luminous inlays and red tips, a red second hand and a triangular alarm hand.
The watch case back is decorated and shows the cosmonaut Alexey Leonov on the first trip to cosmos on March 18, 1965.
In the Earth’s orbit, Leonov was the first person ever to float freely in space (Woschod 2) . With the space ship he was only connected by a 4.5 m long safety line and hovered about 12 minutes in cosmos.
This special alarm watch is powered by the well known Poljot alarm caliber 2612.1 ( identical to the Swiss AS.Schild caliber ) with 18 jewels, two separate spring housings, monometallic steel balance , shock protection, 40hours power reserve and 18.000 halfrotations/hour.
The famous Poljot alarm caliber is out of production for several years now and this is why all russian alarm watches get increasingly rare and valuable. These calibers are still from original Poljot stock.
The alarm clock rattles for about 13 seconds.
